Psychology Graduate - SEN Support Assistant | Newham | Daily Rate £105-£115
Are you a Psychology Graduate with a deep interest in child development, SEN, or mental health? Would you thrive in a hands-on, meaningful role supporting pupils with additional needs?
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Newham is looking for a compassionate and driven Psychology Graduate to join their SEN support team from September 2025. This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for aspiring educational or clinical psychologists, SEN teachers, or mental health professionals.
You'll gain direct experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs, working closely with experienced SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists.
Role Overview:
* Psychology Graduate SEN Support Assistant
* Based in Newham (well-connected location)
* £105-£115 per day (based on experience)
* Full-time, term-time only
* Start date: September 2025
* 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
* Help pupils regulate emotions, improve learning engagement, and build confidence
* Observe and support therapeutic interventions in action
Person Specification:
* Degree in Psychology or related discipline (2:1 or above preferred)
* Strong understanding of SEN, mental health, and behaviour needs
* Emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and calm under pressure
* Clear communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
* Passionate about inclusion and long-term development in education or psychology
* Eager to learn from experienced practitioners and apply theory to real-world contexts
