Our client, operating within London's Public Sector, is currently seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to join their team on a contractual basis for the School Streets Project. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing public engagement and communication initiatives to support and promote the project's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing communication plans to support the School Streets Project
* Engaging with the community, including schools, parents, and local residents, to gather feedback and foster support for the project
* Creating and distributing informative and persuasive content across various channels
* Organising and attending events to promote the School Streets Project
* Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging
* Monitoring and evaluating the impact of communication and engagement strategies
* Managing social media accounts and responding to public inquiries
* Preparing detailed reports and presentations on communication activities and outcomes
Job Requirements:
* Experience in communications and public engagement
* Strong ability to create compelling content for different audiences
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proficiency in using social media platforms for professional purposes
* Understanding of project management principles
* Ability to analyse data and produce insightful reports
* Experience working within the Public Sector is desirable but not mandatory
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in communications, public relations, or a related field
