Overview
Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Hyde
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:30pm)
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the manufacturing departments and team members.
* Optimise fabric operator requirements to ensure efficient machinery utilisation and timely stock delivery.
* Drive performance on KPIs, focusing on:
o Quality Improvement
o Waste Reduction
o Productivity Enhancement
o Stock Management
* Regularly review manufacturing performance and adapt to changing company needs.
* Ensure proper operator training and adherence to machine running procedures.
* Monitor production processes to maintain consistent quality and highlight variances.
* Collaborate closely with the QC team to uphold and improve finished quality standards.
* Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all production data is accurate.
* Evaluate machinery operations in collaboration with the maintenance department.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience in lean management and change management.
* Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing setting.
* Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of polymer coating chemistry and its applications.
