How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Project Officer Apprentice you’ll be enrolled onto a Level 4 apprenticeship in Associate Project Manager, earning while you learn. You’ll work closely with the project team to support design, build and maintenance of infrastructure across the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your day‑to‑day will include:
* Help the Project Manager by being the point of contact on certain projects, keeping clients, designers, builders and other workers communicating and working well together so the project succeeds.
* Learn how to run projects to high standards by managing money, timelines and schedules while ensuring everything is safe, environmentally responsible and of good quality.
* Take part in every stage of a project – from the very beginning planning stages, through building, all the way to finishing and handing it over.
* Look for smarter, cheaper, or faster ways to design and build things without lowering quality, and keep track of any changes that happen.
* Help spot problems or risks early and inform the right people when something needs attention before it becomes a bigger issue.
What are we looking for?
* GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
* Willingness to learn
* Self‑motivated, punctual and organised
