A secondary school in Preston is seeking to hire a Teaching Assistant. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working with students who exhibit SEMH. This is a full-time position starting in June 2025.
The chosen candidate will work with classes of up to 26 students and will communicate directly with the class teachers and SENDCo. The Senior Leadership Team's support was particularly commended by former staff, and the school received an Ofsted score of 'good.'
As a Teaching Assistant, you would be expected to:
* Support class sizes of up to 26 pupils
* Liaise directly with the class teachers and SENDCo
* Monitor and track the progress of individual pupils
* Support pupils with SEND and SEMH
* Support pupils on a 1-1 and small group basis
* Provide intervention sessions, especially in English, Maths, and Science
* Enrol on CPD courses to enhance your knowledge as a Teaching Assistant
