Join to apply for the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Practitioner role at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or OT to join our Family Safeguarding Service as a Mental Health Practitioner based in Bury.
This is a unique role with feedback from other pilot sites stating that social workers and adult specialist staff say it improves engagement and outcomes for families. DfE published evaluation in 2020.
We are looking for an organised, compassionate, and reflective individual who is passionate about working collaboratively with families to safeguard children.
We are seeking a skilled mental health practitioner who is eager to work in a multidisciplinary team to benefit families in Bury. You would provide specialist assessment and interventions for parents of children open to the Family Safeguarding Team who have identified mental health issues impacting their ability to safeguard their children.
The integrated service offers preventative early intervention. The overall aim is to provide families with the right mental health support, at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together when it is safe to do so.
This post is funded on an annual basis by the Department of Education. If funding is discontinued, we will support you to find an alternative role in Pennine Care through the redeployment process.
You will join a team of practitioners to provide high quality safe and effective care for our service users. You will receive regular clinical supervision from one of the Clinical Psychologists in the team and there is a strong emphasis on reflective supervision.
