Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within specialist provisions in the Blackburn area.
This is a full-time, term-time only role supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, engage with learning, and develop positive behaviours.
Role Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
* Promoting emotional regulation and positive engagement
* Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning activities
* Creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (SEMH desirable)
* Minimum 24 months employment references
* Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to pay and apply for one
* Patient, resilient, and confident managing behaviour
