Overview
Workforce Development Lead (Maternity Cover) – Canterbury, England, United Kingdom. Join the bemix team to provide inclusive, values-led workforce development support across recruitment, onboarding, line management support, data management, policy implementation and workforce communications, ensuring staff experience a consistent, supportive and person-centred journey. Translate strategic workforce priorities into effective systems and processes that promote compliance, enable data-informed decision making, and support staff and managers to thrive. Model and embed bemix EPIC values and co-production principles to support an inclusive, neurodiverse and person-centred working culture.
Location, hours and benefits
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5 with unpaid break time. Location: hybrid (remote and office-based). The post holder is expected to work from a bemix office for a minimum of three days per week with travel to other bemix locations across Kent as required. Office base: Canterbury Innovation Centre, University of Kent. Benefits include 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme (5% of pay).
Responsibilities
* Provide inclusive, values-led workforce development support across recruitment, onboarding, line management support, data management, policy implementation and workforce communications.
* Translate strategic workforce priorities into effective systems and processes that promote compliance and data-informed decision making.
* Support staff and managers to thrive in their roles and promote an inclusive culture.
* Model and embed bemix EPIC values and co-production principles across all workforce development activities.
Qualifications and experience
* Significant senior HR or workforce leadership experience (CIPD qualification or equivalent desirable).
* Strong knowledge of employment law, HR systems and workforce best practices.
* Proven track record in recruitment, staff wellbeing, performance management and development.
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Collaborative working style with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
* Experience in the charity, social enterprise or disability sector would be advantageous.
Additional information
* Salary: £32,000 per annum plus generous 25 days annual leave, 8 bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme (5% of pay).
