Our company is looking for a HGV Technician to join our team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Carrying out 6 weekly inspections;
* Carrying out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles;
* Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of products and attend training courses;
* Carrying out inspections;
* Completion of MOT preparation;
* MOT Preparation / Presentation;
* Completion of all required paperwork;
* Be able to liaise with both your colleagues and suppliers;
* Complete job cards and service sheets
* Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to;
* Fault diagnosis and rectification using the manufacturers computer system and tooling;
* Diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults.
*Requirements:*
* Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles;
* Diagnostic equipment knowledge/experience;
* Flexible approach to working hours;
* HGV Licence advantageous but not essential;
* At least 3 years’ experience;
* Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, fitting and repair;
* A full clean UK driving licence;
* Own tools (preferable);
* Keen eye for detail;
* Able to work under pressure.
Shifts will be Days/Noon 8am-5pm & 12pm-9pm, every other Saturday will be required. Some flexibility with hours can be discussed.
40hrs per week paid at £18.00 pr hour. Over 40hrs paid at £27 per hour.
