About the role:
A vacancy has arisen for a Blood Transfusion Manager in our Blood Sciences Department based at the Lister Hospital Essential Services Laboratory (ESL). Health Services Laboratories now provide Pathology services to the East and North Hertfordshire Trust following implementation of a new Pathology and Phlebotomy services programme commissioned by the Herts and West Essex Integrated Care Board with services commenced from 1st March 2025.
The role will involve leading the Blood Transfusion team and maintaining compliance with UKAS and MHRA, and supporting the BMS staff as and when required in the section. The post holder is also expected to work collaboratively with the other Seniors and Managers in the Pathology Department.
The department provides a blood transfusion service for private and community hospitals in addition to the Lister Hospital.
