Machinist Technician

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out a variety of machining tasks to support current and new R&D programs
* Operate conventional lathes, milling, grinding, and boring machines to tight tolerances
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow technical instructions
* Use measuring equipment such as vernier callipers, depth gauges, and thread gauges
* Adhere to all safety, quality, and standard work procedures within the R&D environment
* Collaborate with engineers, machining coordinators, and wider team members to meet production deadlines
What You Will Need
* Experience operating conventional machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinding, boring)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
* Skilled in using precision measuring tools
* Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office
* Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Machining, or equivalent
* Experience with Mazak 5-axis, Mazatrol Smooth X, FeatureCam, or Haas Fanuc controls is advantageous
