Role: Lecturer - Early Years and/or Primary Education
Location: Bedford Campus
Salary: Between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications
Hours: 37hrs/52 Weeks
Contract Type: Looking for Permanent - Full Time/Permanent - Part Time/Associate Hours

About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Early Years and/or Primary Education to join our Care, Childcare and Counselling department at Bedford Campus. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

* Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
* Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
* Managing students' learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
* Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
* Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

* Certificate in Education qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* Level 4 (and above) qualifications in Early Years or Primary Education related studies
* Experience in the Early Years or Primary Education sector
* English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
* Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
* Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing

Bedford College has a number of sites across the town and surrounding areas, including our main Cauldwell Street campus in the heart of the town, the hair and beauty salon on the High Street, the advanced automotive centre on Brunel Road and the gas and technology plumbing centre in Kempston.
