Overview
Product Line Manager at TechPoint. Join TechPoint to apply for the Product Line Manager role. TechPoint is a leading supplier of frequency control products, including quartz crystals, oscillators, TCXOs, VCXOs, OCXOs, RTC modules, crystal filters, SAW filters and SAW duplexers, to the worldwide electronics industry.
The Product Line Manager works with suppliers and the engineering team to improve the product offering and lifecycle. They will also be responsible for maintaining and developing supplier relationships and contracts, including terms and provisions, contract modification, stock and return rights, and other sales incentive plan options. This role will support the Head of Strategy & Operations in optimising the product range including obsolescence management.

Responsibilities
* Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, competitive activities, emerging technologies, and industry trends in the frequency devices and passive components.
* Develop and maintain the most effective product line mix aligned with TechPoint Golledge’s strategic objectives and product roadmap.
* Develop and implement go-to-market plan, including gap analysis and recommendations for new product introductions.
* Manage the product life cycle from conception to end-of-life, including product introductions, rationalisation, and obsolescence management.
* Develop and maintain pricing structures (Price Book), set customer discount tiers, and collaborate with sales and finance to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing strategies.
* Analyse inventory levels, demand forecasts and consumption patterns to optimise stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
* Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment on product development, launch activities, and ongoing support.
* Conduct quarterly supplier performance reviews and work with Group Strategic Sourcing lead to negotiate contracts to ensure maximum supplier performance and pricing models.
* Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and issue resolution.
Key Performance Indicators
* Deliver a product and supplier strategic business plan on an annual basis and execute the plan through the year.
* Deliver product growth > 20% year on year.
* Optimise inventory to meet annualised financial targets.
* Deliver gross margins to meet annualised financial targets.
* Quote completion, follow-up and conversion.
About You
* Previous experience in product management, specifically managing products or product lines, including product lifecycle management.
* Knowledge of IP&E.
* Experience in electronics manufacturing.
* Knowledge of customers, competitors, and market trends is highly valued.
* Strong project management skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a relevant field.
* The ability to travel including international as necessary.
