Role
The successful candidate will join the Department of Chemical Engineering within the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering as a Lecturer. For more information about the department please refer to Chemical Engineering | Loughborough University.
Responsibilities
* Establish or enhance a strong international research profile, engage with industry partners, and secure research funding.
* Deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Chemical Engineering programmes, particularly in core chemical engineering modules.
* Supervise research students.
Research areas
* Circular Economy
o Resource recovery and reuse
o Waste valorisation and upcycling
o Sustainable material cycles and closed-loop systems
o Work that supports the transition to a circular economy through interdisciplinary approaches and scalable solutions
* Sustainable Energy
o Hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation
o Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)
o Electrochemical systems
o Research that supports Net Zero goals and integrates with broader energy systems
* Advanced Manufacturing
o Green and sustainable production of chemicals, fuels, and pharmaceuticals
o Process intensification and digital manufacturing
o Integration of AI, automation, and smart technologies in chemical processes
o Approaches that enhance productivity and reduce environmental impact
