Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate EC&I (Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electrical and instrumentation equipment in our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the efficient operation of our systems.
Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical, control, and instrumentation systems and equipment
* Troubleshoot issues with electrical and instrumentation systems and perform repairs as needed Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the proper functioning of equipment
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support ongoing projects and upgrades
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing duties
Day-to-day:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical and instrumentation equipment
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support ongoing projects
* Document maintenance activities and update equipment records
* Participate in safety meetings and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications:
* Associate degree or certification in electrical, control, or instrumentation technology
* Proven experience in maintaining and repairing electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
* Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and schematics
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
Knowledge:
* Good knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
* Knowledge of DCS, ESD and PLC based control systems
Desirable Skills:
* FLT Driver
