Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
- With the help of your team, create and update individual care plans for residents and maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records.
- Ensure adequate staffing through efficient management of rotas and maintain appropriate staffing levels within the home.
- Provide day-to-day clinical support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
- Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community within the home.
- Develop strong relationships with local partners and liaise with them to raise the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.
- Champion independence, choice and dignity by delivering high-quality care to residents and supporting their wellbeing.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Communicate effectively to build strong, honest relationships with residents and their families.
- Lead and mentor a team, delegate effectively, and promote excellent customer service and relationships.
- Prioritise workload with excellent time management and planning.
- Be a respectful, compassionate team player who is committed to giving your personal best.
Qualifications
- A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrable understanding of the benefits of appropriate nursing care for residents’ lives.
- Natural leadership skills with ability to share clinical experience.

Salary and Employment Details
Salary Up to £56,035 per annum, depending on experience. Permanent role – 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.
