Overview
We have a vacancy for a Stores Person to join our team based in Glasgow.
The role's main purpose is to effectively run the stores function, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of all materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective sourcing and ordering of materials and efficient stock control in line with business needs. The role includes control of red/green label spares holding and the distribution of spares/materials in support of the operational teams. The role also requires the production of inventory reports supporting the control of minimum/maximum holding expectations. The role also requires the provision of equipment calibration and repair chain facilities to maximise equipment availability. Although predominantly based in the Glasgow area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre’s which may involve overnight stays.
What you will do
* Effectively run the stores function, ensuring the receipt, storage and dispatch of all materials.
* Source and order materials and maintain stock control in line with business needs.
* Control red/green label spares holding and distribute spares/materials to support operational teams.
* Produce inventory reports to support control of minimum/maximum holding levels.
* Provide equipment calibration and repair chain facilities to maximise equipment availability.
* Occasional travel to other Service Centres, potentially involving overnight stays.
Profile

What we are looking for
* GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English, Maths & Sciences
* Previous stores/stock control experience using a stock control system/software
* Fork lift truck licence
* Ability to provide installation assistance when required
* Attention to detail
* Customer focused attitude
* Organised, trustworthy and self-motivated
* Full driving licence
