The Role
As Head of Science, you will:
* Lead and manage the Science department across KS3–KS5
* Drive teaching & learning standards in line with a progressive, values-led vision
* Mentor, develop and inspire staff at all career stages
* Ensure the curriculum reflects high academic ambition and rich scientific exploration
* Oversee assessment, progress tracking, and departmental improvement planning
* Play a key role in whole-school leadership and strategy
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
* QTS (100% required)
* Substantial secondary Science teaching experience
* A strong record of departmental or whole-school leadership
* Proven impact on outcomes, standards, and team development
* The ability to champion high expectations while nurturing a collaborative culture
