About the role
As a part time Finance Administrator on a permanent contract, you will work as a collaborative member of the finance team. You will assist the Financial Systems Lead and Finance Business Partners with financial administration tasks, supporting purchase and sales ledger functions and processing general school income. Your role involves communicating with staff, governors, and outside agencies and managing finance admin functions to ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Purchase requisitions
* Goods received notes
* Supplier invoices for BACs payment
* Charge card statement entry and reconciliation
* Entering schools local income
* Debtor management
Qualifications
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, communicating clearly and calmly across a variety of environments.
* Experience in financial administration – purchase ledger, sales ledger.
* Work with discretion and confidentiality, adhering to GDPR and respecting privacy.
* Ability to work accurately in fast‑paced environments and prioritise tasks.
* Highly organised and professional.
* High level emotional intelligence and ability to deal with sensitive situations.
* Dedication to working in an education setting and promoting equitable outcomes for all.
* Demonstration of Palladian Academy Trust values.
* Proficient in Office 365 and cloud‑based financial software.
* 1+ years of experience in a similar or related role.
Salary & Working Hours
Spine Point & Pay Grade: Grade 1, SCP 3 (FTE £24,796)
Actual salary: £14,543
This is a permanent contract, working 24 hours per week (Monday – Thursday) over 41 weeks Term time only plus an additional 2 weeks of holiday based at The Bridge in Bath. There is flexibility on hours with work arranged for the ideal candidate.
