What you will do:
As the Commercial Credit Risk Analyst, you are a key member of the Commercial Credit Risk Policy & Portfolio Oversight team by developing and delivering data to provide insight into the commercial lending portfolio. You will operate as a subject matter expert on Commercial credit risk data and reporting, commercial credit risk data analytics, data control framework and data developments/improvements.
• Support the Commercial Credit Risk Team with data analysis and processing, including Perform reconciliation and validation routines across all deliverables whilst ensuring data and reporting is timely and accurate
• Interpret and derive insights from data, including the production of portfolio oversights
• Develop technical skills in SAS/SQL, Excel, Access, etc
• Perform reconciliation and validation routines across all deliverables
• Create, operate and enhance a strong reporting and control framework for Commercial credit risk data, ensuring reporting is timely and accurate
• Monitor the Commercial Lending Portfolio including reporting on credit performance, trends and concentrations
• Proactively look for opportunities to improve credit risk reporting, including efficiency and automation of report production, data controls and the consistency of reporting
• Manage CRGA data quality reporting and proactively enhance CRGA data, working with Credit Underwriting and lending teams. Be the subject matter expert, with a strong understanding of the system functionality, performance, and output. Manage any system changes to maintain system integrity

What you will need:
• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
• Strong technical skills in SAS/SQL and knowledge of Power BI
• Excellent understanding of the Commercial lending sector, combined with strong knowledge of Commercial credit risk regulatory frameworks, such as IFRS9
• The ability to obtain relevant data from underlying systems to deliver full, accurate and relevant reporting
• Experience of identifying reporting data gaps and issues, to ensure correct interpretation of data delivered
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform data manipulations, investigations and report findings
• Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to manage competing priorities
