Robert Half is working with a successful and growing business that is looking for a qualified accountant to step into a No.2 finance role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and hands-on finance professional to play a key role in the company's ambitious five-year growth strategy. Whilst there are days which will be more fast-paced than others, this is a less demanding role than many corporate environments.
The Role
This is a highly visible position, working closely with senior leadership to provide accurate financial reporting, strategic insight, and treasury management. In addition to preparing management accounts and forecasts, a significant part of the role involves client-focused reporting, ensuring key stakeholders receive the financial information they need.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing management accounts, forecasts, reconciliations, and KPIs.
* Managing funding partner relationships and treasury operations.
* Producing detailed financial reports for clients, banks, auditors, and the Board.
* Developing controls and systems to support the business's rapid growth.
* Gaining a complete understanding of the business and deputising for the Financial Controller when needed.
Who We're Looking For
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with strong commercial awareness.
* Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
* A hands-on, organised, and proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
* Experience in financial services is beneficial but not essential.
