Kennedys is seeking an experiencedSenior Claims Handler to join our growing claims team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded global law firm, handling complex and high-value claims across professional indemnity and financial lines.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of claims, delivering high-quality service to insurer clients while maintaining strong technical accuracy and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Handling a portfolio of professional indemnity and financial lines claims from notification through to resolution
2. Providing coverage analysis and strategic advice to insurer clients
3. Managing complex and high-value claims, including those involving multiple parties
4. Liaising with brokers, clients, and external stakeholders
5. Instructing and working closely with legal teams where appropriate
6. Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and service level agreements
7. Using the Electronic Claims File (ECF) system effectively for claims management and updates
About You
We are looking for a confident and technically strong claims professional with:
8. Proven experience handling professional indemnity and financial lines claims
9. Strong working knowledge of ECF
10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
11. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
12. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
13. A proactive and client-focused approach
