Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Band 8a)

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week) • Contract: Permanent
Salary: £53,000 to £55,000 per year • Remuneration dependent on experience
Accountable to: Band 8b Lead Clinical Pharmacist
Responsible to: Director of Operations, Haringey GP Federation

Main duties of the job
The post holder is an experienced clinical pharmacist who acts within their professional boundaries. They will ideally be working within primary care already and this role would be in addition to their clinical responsibilities.
The post holder will provide 2 leadership and management sessions based at Haringey GP Federation head office in addition to their clinical responsibilities.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Delivery of long term conditions strategy for practice(es) and the PCN
* Leading on our centralised approach to safety alerts, policies and training
* Provide mentorship through 1-2-1s for direct line reports to develop competencies and assure quality of service provision
* Ensure appropriate direction and progress for PCN pharmacy teams on workstreams agreed with PCNs
* Contribute towards supervision and support of trainee pharmacists and foundation pharmacists
Line management and mentorship of pharmacists and technicians; support their development.
Qualifications
Essential
* Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
* Independent Prescribing Qualification
* Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Other requirements
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; post subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act requirements
