Procurement Admin Officer - 6 Months Fixed Term

DHU Healthcare offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Procurement team, where you'll play a key role in sourcing essential clinical and non-clinical goods and services that directly support frontline care.
In this 6-month role, you'll work within established systems to ensure best-value purchasing, maintain supplier records, support contract reviews, and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. Work Pattern:
37.5 hours per week

Typical Day:
* Processing purchase requisitions and liaising with stakeholders to deliver efficient procurement services.
* Supporting best-value purchasing through contract reviews and sourcing activities.
* Managing the purchase-to-pay process, including receipting and validating orders to support timely invoice payments.
* Acting as the first point of contact for procurement queries, providing clear and timely responses.
* Working with finance to resolve invoice issues and maintain accurate records.
* Using procurement systems and Microsoft Office for data analysis, reporting, and document management.
* Prioritizing tasks independently, contributing to team projects, and upholding DHU’s values through professional conduct.
Requirements:
* Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and analytical skills.
* Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in healthcare.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to handle financial data.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage tasks independently or in a team.
* Working towards or holding a CIPS qualification is desirable.
