Trade Compliance Operations Specialist

Job Purpose and Impact: The Trade Compliance Operations Specialist performs routine clerical and administrative tasks related to trade compliance operations activities to support larger trade compliance operations projects. Working independently under limited supervision for routine situations, this role assists with administrative issues to ensure the organization’s trade operations are compliant through various documentation procedures.
This position is a full‑time contract with hybrid working options, offered by MobilitySquare on behalf of Cargill.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine clerical and administrative tasks, including cross border clearance execution, filing import and export declarations with customs and other government agencies, and supporting validation and coordination of import and export transactional requirements.
* Assist with regular audits and assessments of trade transactions to ensure compliance with related regulations, customs requirements and trade agreements.
* Prepare and review trade documents—including invoices, preferential trade documentation, shipping documents, export licenses and other cross border documents—to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with legal and fiscal requirements.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement new trade compliance operations solutions.
* Collect, process, prioritize, analyze and report on global trade and compliance data to facilitate cross border execution and analysis.
* Maintain customs master files and records to support compliance with information management policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Fluency in English (written and spoken).
* Secondary or higher education.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in customs administration.
* Knowledge of special customs regimes, excise management, and Incoterms.
* Experience in supply chain and in SAP and GTS (or similar).
* Experience with systems such as Open Text.
* Interfacing with customs brokers.
* Ability to develop business acumen incorporating trade compliance solutions.
