Role: Oracle Database Administrator
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
Location: Cumbria
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Work Pattern: On-site until probation passed then hybrid
About the Role:
A long-established organisation is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and enhance several mission-critical databases. This position offers a high level of independence and the opportunity to work with modern Oracle technologies within a supportive, employee-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the setup & maintenance of Oracle database environments.
2. Keep a close eye on performance, resolving issues and refining efficiency.
3. Safeguard data through solid backup, recovery, and security routines.
4. Create and update scripts, documentation, and automation used across the systems.
5. Work with application teams to streamline queries and improve system responsiveness.
6. Manage updates, patches, and version changes to keep platforms current.
7. Configure and maintain ORDS services and related API connections.
8. Make targeted data adjustments when needed.
