Registered Children’s Home Manager
* Location: Southeast London
* Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum D.O.E + £10,000 annual bonus
* Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to oversee the operations of a children’s home accommodating up to 4 children for emergency, medium-term, and long-term placements. The home has recently been renovated to a very high standard, including separate staff quarters with en-suite facilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage all aspects of the home’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
* Monitor the quality of care provided and ensure it aligns with the home’s statement of purpose.
* Lead and develop a team of staff, providing supervision, appraisal, and support.
* Promote partnership working with young people, their families, and other agencies.
* Ensure effective communication and information flow within the team.
* Oversee health and safety regulations and maintain the home’s facilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children in the last 5 years, with at least 1 year at a senior level.
* Knowledge of the Children Act 1989, child protection policies, and quality standards.
