This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and adherence to site-specific procedures, ensuring all security operations are conducted in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.The role involves managing a range of situations that may arise on-site, including incidents, emergencies, and potential security breaches. The Security Officer must:Respond to incidents in accordance with site-specific Assignment Instructions and company reporting proceduresConduct routine patrols diligently and in full compliance with site requirementsProvide assistance to individuals in need, including staff, visitors, and customersAdapt to changing situations and carry out additional duties as assigned by managementEnsure full compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational guidelinesKey ResponsibilitiesProtect company property, staff, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environmentMonitor premises for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbancesReport all suspicious activities and incidents accurately and in detailOperate and monitor alarm systems, CCTV, and other security equipmentUndertake Control Room duties when requiredRespond promptly and effectively to emergenciesManage access control by monitoring and authorising entry of people and vehiclesConduct regular patrols in line with Assignment InstructionsEnsure proper booking on and off duty as trainedCarry out thorough shift handovers, including checking documentation (DOB) and signing for equipmentComplete all required check calls as per site proceduresPerson SpecificationEssential Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in a security roleValid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licenceStrong knowledge of public safety and security proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow instructions and work in line with operational proceduresStrong customer service skillsHigh level of integrity and professionalismAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhy Sodexo?:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.Belongin a company and team that values you for you.
