Details:
Our client is looking to appoint a experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to be based in Invergordon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build on their existing accounts experience in a busy environment offering the opportunity for continued professional development.
Duties include:
* Sales and purchase ledger processing and reconciliation.
* Assisting with the calculation and submission of VAT returns.
* Petty cash and credit card reconciliations.
* Bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
* Assisting with financial reporting.
* Updating a range of spreadsheets and databases including MS Excel.
* Payroll and CIS filings.
* Updating and maintaining accurate financial records.
Person Specification:
* Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience is preferred.
* Applicants must have an aptitude for learning and the desire to progress a career within an accountancy & finance environment.
* Ability to operate effectively with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong IT skills including MS office and financial software systems.
* Ability to pick up new skills quickly.
* A willingness to learn and undertake a range of training and development programmes is required.
