The department includes a combination of experienced and more recently-qualified staff. The department is a great place to start your career as a teacher as well as somewhere where more experienced staff can thrive. The department is extremely well resourced. Every classroom has a visualiser and these are used extensively by the team in frequent and highly effective episodes of guided practice to develop strong procedural knowledge and confidence for independent and deliberate practice. There is a substantial departmental office and the department is supported by one 1:1 Maths tutors and one Specialist TA. The department is heavily invested in developing strong disciplinary knowledge at KS3 and KS4. Qualifications Essential qualifications include a degree in an appropriate discipline related to the relevant subject and a teaching qualification coupled with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Required experience includes recent and relevant teaching experience (either in employment or training) and experience of assessment at Key Stage 3 and 4.
