Supervisor
Midsomer Norton Leisure Centre
Hours of work – 37 hours per week including evenings and weekends with overtime opportunities.
Hourly rate of pay – £14.00 per hour.
We are seeking an outstanding Supervisor to help lead an Operations team at Midsomer Norton Leisure Centre.
The successful candidate will have a customer focus, aiming to achieve high standards with a hands-on approach to working with a team. Key areas of responsibility include supporting the team in offering excellent customer service, exceptional delivery of our programme and faultless presentation of our facility and staff. Leading from the front, our Supervisor is a role model for the rest of the team and someone the Duty Manager can rely on to ensure the centre runs smoothly.
Duties include lifeguarding, cash handling, sale of services, ensuring the building is clean and well maintained at all times, daily maintenance, develop an increasing knowledge of the pool plant room, assisting with day-to-day staff management and service delivery. A pro-active and positive attitude will be fundamental to success. The Supervisor will learn how to manage a team and will at times be required to run the shift as the shift leader. They must understand the culture required and impart that onto others.
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person that can hit the ground running. Ideally you will have a leisure background. An NPLQ qualification is essential and experience with a swimming pool plant room would be desirable. Any additional industry qualifications would be useful.
