Background
A full time onsite technician position to work in the Cardiovascular Pathology Unit in St George's Medical School. The group consists of two doctors, research fellows, three technicians and an administrator. This unit is funded by a UK Charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young which deals with sudden young deaths in UK. The person must have a degree in Biomedical Science or relevant Laboratory experience, excellent attention to detail as well as ability to use excel and database entry. General laboratory technical skills and interpersonal skills are required as well as good communication skills to deal with bereaved families and coroner's officers.
