We are currently looking for a commercial and progressive Procurement Manager with experience of building new teams and supplier bases to spearhead, modernise and invigorate the purchasing function of an established growing business. This is a brand new role following some progressive organisational change!
BASIC SALARY: up to £100,000pa depending on experience

The primary focus of this Procurement Manager role is to assist with the Purchase to Purchase relationship with major UK Blue chip clients and to implement and manage a new procurement strategy to explore new commodities and industries for the UK business.
Key elements of the role will be to:
· Develop and oversee 4 existing purchasing staff across this global business. We want this team to grow exponentially in the coming 3-5 years
· Manage all direct and indirect procurement for the business
· Oversee a total UK spend of £150 million +
· Review and implement new SLAs for the business and is suppliers and KPI's for the staff
· Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships (Apply online only)) and where needed, increase/rationalise supplier portfolio
This is a genuine opportunity to have input into changing a procurement platform in a large and established business and will require a candidate who is strong willed and confident in their approach with experience in similar change and growth.

Ideally, you will be a qualified procurement specialist holding either CIPs / MCIPs or the equivalent and have some direct working experience in the automotive industry. You could be looking for the next step in your procurement career and would be excited by the prospect of joining a business that is looking to significantly improve its turnover and profitability in the next 5 years.
You will be strong willed and driven, have a hands-on approach and be prepared to listen and be circumspect, but also be happy to make hard decisions and shoulder the consequences.
