University College Hospital is part of the UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, known for innovation and excellent patient‑focused care. Due to expansion of services, the Imaging Department is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, enthusiastic radiology department assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
We expect the successful applicant to demonstrate a patient‑centred approach and contribute to the efficient running of the imaging department, providing consistently high standards of patient care.
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a patient‑focused, technically advanced field and develop new skills and knowledge.
The Imaging department operates across five sites: UCLH, the Macmillan Cancer Centre, UCH at Westmoreland Street, Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, and Grafton Way Building. The service offers state‑of‑the‑art equipment including MRI, CT scanners, digital interventional suites, digital X‑ray rooms, and ultrasound rooms.
The department promotes continual professional development, supporting all staff. Cannulation training will be provided.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience
Experience
* Experience in carrying out assigned duties / assisting qualified staff after training
* Working in a team
* Good standard of written and spoken English
* Experience working in a health‑care or related setting

Salary: £30,546 to £32,207 per annum inclusive of HCAS, pro‑rata.
