We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Channel Manager (Search) to join JACK RYAN in Glasgow.
The Channel Manager (Search) will be responsible for developing and executing organic & paid media strategies that align with business and client objectives. You will oversee every aspect of paid search delivery, lead client communications, and collaborate across teams to integrate Paid Search with broader marketing initiatives. There may also be a small component of overall general client account management on an ad-hoc basis as required in addition to organic search strategy, programmatic advertising, analytics, implementation and management.
Lead and manage day-to-day PPC operations, overseeing implementation and ensuring all deliverables are on time, on budget, and of high quality.
Identify growth opportunities and create account roadmaps in partnership with account and media teams.
Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of campaigns across Google Marketing Platform Products including Google Ads & DV360, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, and other platforms, ensuring measurable results and achievement of KPIs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the wider team, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Conduct account audits, performance analyses, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients.
Provide direction to copywriting & content teams in managing content projects for SEO managed clients.
Stay up-to-date with evolving paid search trends, platform updates, AI automation tools, and best practices in digital marketing.
Planning, building and managing tracking and analytics for campaigns.
Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of performance media campaigns across digital channels such as, but not limited to, programmatic, display, CTV and as future technologies emerge.
We're looking for someone who will manage multiple paid media campaigns across platforms, focused on developing and executing high-performance PPC strategies, data analysis, creative testing, and ROI-driven optimisation.
You must have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines. Hands-on PPC campaign management experience across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
Proven account management experience and strong client communication and presentation skills.
Prior account management and SEO experience.
Experience using complex software products such as SEMRUSH, Ahrefs, GSConsole, Google Marketing Platform products
Analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Advanced project management capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to develop and implement campaign strategies in collaboration with management and team members.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a strong academic background (English A-Level B+ or Scottish equivalent).
~3–5+ years' experience in Paid Search campaign management, digital advertising, or performance marketing.
~ Google Ads and Microsoft Ads certifications (current).
~ Advanced proficiency in Sheets/Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker Studio / Data Studio.
~ Experience managing large monthly budgets (£100k+) with proven ROI performance.
~ Knowledge of AI-driven optimisation tools, automation strategies, and emerging campaign formats (e.g. Performance Max, Microsoft Audience Network).
Strong analytical skills — ability to interpret performance data and deliver actionable insights.
Process-driven, highly organised, and quality-focused with strong project management discipline.
