 
        SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term role starting November 2025 This full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant role is based in a secondary school setting and begins in November 2025. Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant: Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a secondary school environment Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies Provide one-to-one and small group support Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to support pupil progress Monitor and record pupil development and behaviour Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant: Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification Has experience working with SEMH pupils in a secondary school setting Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience Understands behaviour management strategies and emotional support techniques Works effectively as part of a team and independently Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as an SEMH Teaching Assistant.
