Overview
Area Sales Manager: Heavy Plant and Equipment – Bristol / South Wales, covering to Cornwall. The role drives the sales of construction brands in a field‑based position, suitable for a motivated individual with a proven track record in plant, construction or heavy‑equipment sales.
Salary
£50,000 per year + guaranteed year‑1 commission.
Responsibilities
* Generate sales leads through effective networking, referrals and prospecting.
* Identify, penetrate and close business opportunities, securing additional sales such as parts and service.
* Consistently achieve sales and profitability targets.
* Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, ensuring correct specifications are delivered to customers.
* Develop a network of customer relationships with both new and existing clients.
Qualifications
* Experience in the heavy plant sector, ideally in machinery or parts sales.
* Motivated and target‑driven.
* Self‑starter who can manage own responsibilities and working day.
* Customer‑focused mindset.
* Credible sector knowledge.
* Flexible approach to work.
