We are seeking a Senior Planner to join a leading food manufacturing business at their factory in the East Glasgow area. A new role to the structure and reporting to the Operations Director, the successful Senior Planner will be responsible for taking the lead on production planning, materials management and master data functions, transitioning the planning function into a best-in-class operation. With 2 direct reports, the Senior Planner will be responsible for ensuring the factory operation is optimised to meet customer service KPIs while maintaining lean inventory levels. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Planner Include: * Production Scheduling: Creating and communicating daily production schedules and raising production orders. * Master Data Ownership: Taking full responsibility for the accurate transition of NPD recipes into operational Bills of Materials (BOM) and Routings within the ERP system * Inventory Control: Managing material stock levels, placing purchase orders, and minimising the risk of redundant stock write-offs. * Strategic Planning: Managing key seasonal campaigns and promotional activities to ensure seamless execution. * Cross-Functional Leadership: Attending daily production meetings and managing stock-out communications between Customer Care and Sales.
