Installation Engineer / Steel Erector
About the Role:
We are looking to strengthen our team with a skilled Installation Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects. While a welder/fabricator background would be advantageous, this role is primarily focused on steel erection, mechanical fitting, and on-site installation work. Welding and fabrication experience is therefore desirable but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys practical, hands-on work and thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Steel erection and mechanical fitting on site
Assisting with installation and breakdown work
Working as part of a team to deliver projects safely and efficiently
Troubleshooting and problem-solving under time pressure
Supporting and potentially leading installation teams as required
Key Skills and Experience:
Experience in steel erection, mechanical fitting, or a related installation role
Welder/fabricator background preferred but not essential
Ability to think clearly and solve problems during breakdown or reactive work
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Previous team leader or supervisory experience is desirable
Licences and Certifications (Preferred):
FLT
Scissor lift
Cherry picker
Telehandler
(Not all are essential; training may be available for the right candidate.)
