Position: Electrical Authorising Engineer
Location: Thames Water Framework
Salary Guide: £65,000 - £75,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Package
Our client is a Tier 1 Design & Build Contractor operating predominantly in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Thames Water valued at over £400M. They are recruiting for an Authorising Engineer where you will be the focal point and set the culture for the organisation's electrical H&S management.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the H&S team in matters of electrical safety.
2. Authorising and administration of electrical safety rules. Maintenance of rules in line with legislative, regulatory or industry changes.
3. Providing professional and technical guidance on electrical construction & electrical contracting delivery.
4. Owns, interprets, administers and monitors use of the JV LV Electrical Safety Rules.
5. Ensuring that any amendments to the JV LV Electrical Safety Rules are brought to the attention of, and are understood by, all JV Responsible Persons, and JV Authorised Persons.
6. Interview, train and competence assess potential JV Authorised Persons and subsequent appointment.
7. Undertake AP audits and annual appraisals.
