We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our childrens residential service, supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where each child can thrive and reach their potential. Youll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring that children are always at the heart of decision-making.
Your Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Lead, mentor, and develop staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Ensure the home meets regulatory and safeguarding responsibilities.
Oversee care planning and ensure positive outcomes for young people.
Participate in the on-call rota as required.
What Were Looking For
NVQ Level 3 in Childrens Residential Care (or equivalent).
Experience working in a childrens residential setting.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and current care legislation.
Organised, with good IT and paperwork skills.
A full UK driving licence.
A child-centred approach, always putting quality outcomes first.

The role is mainly MondayFriday office-based but can sometimes include some shift work to meet the needs of the home.
All successful candidates must complete an enhanced DBS check (funded by the company).
