Overseeing the Finance Team’s day-to-day operations and working closely with the Group Financial Controller (FC) across multiple companies. Responsible for continually reviewing and improving the finance systems, controls, and processes to ensure financial and accounting activities are both timely and accurate.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Management of the finance team, including to motivate and lead the finance team, and to provide helpful feedback when needed.
* Create the monthly consolidated management accounts pack and annual reports.
* Ensure the Finance team manage accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
* Working with department heads on reporting and ad hoc reports.
* Management and reconciliation of recharge sales invoicing for services provided on managed services.
* Ensure up to date accuracy of balance sheet, including all reconciliations.
* Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
* Manage the finance systems and processes.
* Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
* Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with global government regulations and legislation.
* Review financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities, and EBITDA improvements.
* Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies and accuracy.
* Create processes to ensure the financial operating model is accurate and efficient.
* Statutory returns, HMRC, Office of National Statistics.
* Report to the FC with timely and accurate financial information.
* Assisting the FC on the Group cashflow forecasting.
* Managing the relationship with auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
* Manage the Banking facility.
* Manage the Groups accounting systems and implement improvements to finance processes to ensure efficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Qualified/Part-qualified accountant with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
* Excellent experience prioritising conflicting deadlines – including monthly tasks and month end reports.
* Knowledge of UK tax and reporting.
Skills Required
* Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, (demonstrated use of formulas, vlookup, pivot tables).
* The ability to effectively manage a team and work towards a common goal.
* An ability to solve problems in a logical manner, thereby rectifying issues speedily and efficiently.
* Basic knowledge of payroll.
* Willingness to take on a variety of duties as required.

Hybrid working environment (3 days in the Stonehouse office, 2 days remote)
