Your responsibilities and tasks:
This role is based at our Holsworthy site and is on-site, five days per week. Office hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:15am–5:00pm, and Friday, 8:15am–4:00pm.
* Credit Control: Managing Credit Control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. Setting up and maintaining provisions for bad debts.
* Accounts Receivable: Managing Accounts Receivables to ensure timely invoicing and collections. Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers including collaborating with other departments. Issuing customers with account statements. Reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy of accounts. Ensuring timely communication to the sales/admin department on payments received.
* Other Duties: Conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. This may be managed by an outsourced service provider in the future while still being overseen/managed. Reconciling sales project finances to track and report on project performance. Answering incoming calls and emails and providing assistance as needed in a timely and professional manner. Providing general finance administrative support as required by the business.
* Support to Finance Manager: Providing support to Finance Manager for payroll processing. Assisting Finance Manager with Month End procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, etc.). Working to departmental KPIs and providing status reports to Finance Manager regularly. Participating in audit preparations.
Your profile and qualifications:
* Experience in an accounting/finance role (Desirable).
* An understanding of financial principles and practices.
* Proficiency in SAGE accounting software (Desirable) and MS Office (Essential).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Essential).
* Experience in a professional customer-facing role (Desirable).
* Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* A team player - able to work independently and as part of a team.
