You will be leading activities between departments ensuring seamless coordination from design concept through to full rate production. Key Responsibilities:Establishment of functional productivity, capability, continuous improvement objectives to drive change and improve project lead timesCollaborate with cross-functional teams on design for manufacture programmes to enable introduction of new products and processes in a controlled wayProvide input to design decisions from feasibility to ensure a robust delivery programEstablish production system capability and introduce best practice based on APQP Lead Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) to assess maturity of capability and ensure products are ready for production Conduct process capability studies, takt time analysis, and lead Kaizen eventsReview of legacy designs for process and design optimisation Provide leadership to industrialisation team, manage project plans and communicate industrialisation strategy to the business Maintain in depth understanding of technology, regulations and best practice through ongoing education, conferences, specialist media etc.Requirements:Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering disciplineBackground in manufacturing engineering/industrialisation, preferably in aerospace or similar regulated environment6-10 years experience in a leadership role.
