Description 11 – 16 Co-educational Comprehensive NOR 1448 Required for September 2025 ARB (Area Base Resource) Teaching Assistant Fixed term, in the first instance, until 31 August 2026 30 hours per week x 44.263 total paid weeks per annum (term time only) £23,468 per annum (NB this salary will be proportionately reduced to reflect part/term time only working) We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work in our Area Resource Base to support students with specific special educational needs. The purpose of the ARB is to create a nurturing base of learning excellence for high needs students with an EHCP. The successful candidates will work under the guidance of the ARB Lead and will support students in a way that respects their dignity and self-respect, and promotes independence. Applicants will need: • good listening and communication skills • the ability to utilise individual learning programmes • a high standard of computer literacy and excellent organisational skills • a passion for promoting learning and achievement for all • a desire to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with additional or complex needs • the confidence to work with initiative under the guidance of teaching staff • positivity, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour • the ability to work effectively as part of a team • English and Maths GCSE grade C/4/NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
