Are you hard working? Do you enjoy a varied and challenging working environment? Do you have great customer service skills and previous experience of working in retail? Can you deputise for the Shop Manager in their absence? If so we would welcome your application for the role of Shop Supervisor. In our last staff survey 95% of our employees said they enjoyed working with the people in our organisation and 98% said that they were proud to work for the Hospice. Our employees felt they could make a difference and enjoyed the work they do. The Prince of Wales Hospice provides care to adults with a life-limiting illness, such as cancer, chronic heart or lung disease. The Hospice helps people live as well as possible with their illness and also cares for people at the end of their life. Our charity shops play a key role in helping us engage with our local community. The successful applicant will assist in the everyday running of the shop and ensure an efficient delivery and collection service. They will work with the shop team to ensure the shop maximises sales and collection targets in ensuring income targets are achieved. They will manage stock, implement directed seasonal promotions and be involved in recruiting, training and supervising volunteers. Previous experience of cash handling, working in the retail charity sector and working with volunteers would be desirable but is not essential. If you have energy, enthusiasm and determination to succeed and are looking for a new opportunity we want to hear from you.
