Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. The Nursery Assistant will work closely with the nursery staff to promote the development and well-being of each child.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development.
* Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Support children's learning through play, encouraging creativity and exploration.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment.
* Help with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
* Observe and record children's progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff members.
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* Level 3 in Early Child care Studies. Enhanced DBS or willing to apply.
* Paediatric First Aid trained or happy to undergo training.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to support the nursery team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with young children positively.
