Temporary Office Administrator
Location: Hereford
Hours: Full Time | Temporary (initial 3 months with potential to extend or become permanent) | Monday to Friday, approx. 8:30am – 5:00pm (occasional Saturdays required, with a day off in the week provided)
Salary: £27,500 per annum
Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-driven Office Administrator to support their depot. This temporary opportunity comes at an exciting time as they transition to a new computer system, and you'll play a vital role in helping them get it right.
Key Responsibilities of an Office Administrator
* Inputting and checking customer orders via phone, email, and fax
* Supporting the team with general administration tasks during system changeover
* Assisting with credit control: allocating payments, chasing outstanding balances, and managing customer accounts
* Responding to delivery queries and helping to ensure seamless service
* Verifying cash payments and assisting with invoice distribution
Key Skills of an Office Administrator
* Proven experience in customer service or office administration
* Confident, professional communicator with a friendly telephone manner
* Accurate data entry and good IT skills (especially MS Excel, Word, and Outlook)
* Highly organised and calm under pressure – able to juggle multiple priorities
* A flexible team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to support others
