Trade Counter Assistant / Driver
Hours
44 per week: 7am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday; 8am – 12pm Saturday (rotas vary).
Salary & Bonus
Basic salary: £29,080.48 per year. Overall target earnings (OTE): up to £32,680.48 per year including bonuses.
Primary Responsibilities
* Manage trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and communicate product knowledge confidently.
* Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers.
* Picking, loading, and delivering products using Eurocell’s fleet (3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans).
* Plan routes, drive safely, and keep the company vehicle clean.
* Support the Branch Manager with operational activities, ensuring actions are completed on time and in full.
* Comply with health and safety policies, company procedures, and maintain operational standards.
* Maintain branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness, and point‑of‑sale systems.
Required Skills & Experience
* Passion and energy to deliver customer service and meet business targets.
* Hands‑on, customer‑focused approach; confident and proactive with customers.
* Commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins.
* Good organisational skills, prioritisation, and initiative.
* Proficient IT user with experience of MS Office and industry software (e.g., SAP).
* Full & valid driving licence; FLT licence a distinct advantage.
* Previous branch stock‑take experience is desirable.
* Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally alone.
* Experience in a trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing or uPVC environment.
