This is an exciting opportunity to join the Major Programmes & Projects (MPP) team as we build modern Single Living Accommodation (SLA) for Armed Forces personnel. The Single Living Accommodation (SLA) Programmatic Approach (PA) is implementing efficient processes for delivering new build accommodation through collaboration. It focuses on standardising design and commercial processes to establish a platform approach, aligned to Government and MOD strategies. It uses offsite manufacture to create high quality, sustainable accommodation across the Estate that enhances the lived experience of our service personnel. Having mobilised our Alliance in Q42024, we are now seeking an individual to support the Programme as it develops the Common Design to incorporate efficiencies and drive down costs of construction. You will be actively involved in stakeholder engagement and have a working knowledge of building design & construction possibly, but not exclusively, from from working on infrastructure projects. Person specification The role will cover a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the Programmes objectives: Design Lead Common Design Development - Supporting Programme Lead to manage development of the SLA Common Design through lessons capture, collaboration with stakeholders and understanding of cost drivers. Attending Design Working Group & Procurement Working Group Meetings. Common Design Information Management - Supporting Programme Lead with managing and communicating approved design changes including related Sharepoint and Stakeholder comms. Management of all design documents on Glider BIM workspace Common Design Catalogue Expansion - Engaging with FLCs to understand requirements for a multi-occupancy design. Project Management Support Programme Lead in streamlining SLA PA project delivery guidelines and template documentation. Stakeholder Engagement Develop and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to understand end user requirements and effectively communicate the benefits of the Programme. Work with Programme Lead to ensure effective Collaboration Hub meetings and engagements. KPIs Support Commercial colleagues with KPI tracking at Alliance level, feeding back from the Design and Procurement working groups to inform process and scoring. Benefits Management Support Programme Lead in developing the Benefits Realisation Process, drawing relevant data from the Programme's activities to compare against agreed baselines. PMO Programme Comms Overseeing the PMO team (currently 2 x HEO) in maintaining the SLA Programmatic Approach Sharepoint page, the SLA Document Library, monitoring and responding to the SLA Mailbox. General Support as required including, but not limited to, Programme Governance, Finance & Risk. Line Management responsibilities There will be an element of HEO Line Management within this role.
